Pure Prairie Organics...since 1994!
Pure Prairie Organics is a small, local, family-run business. We started many years ago in Wheaton and over the years moved our office and shop down to Joliet. We have customers all over the southwest suburbs of Chicago. Our owner, Chris, has always had a passion for working outdoors and loves the look of a well-kept lawn. We think you’ll enjoy working with us.
Our Specialty is Organic and Natural Lawn Care
Pure Prairie Organics has specialized in organic and natural lawn care for many years. It’s what we do best. We understand that each lawn is unique in its needs, which is why we have two excellent lawn care programs. Our customers can pick one or the other or combine them to get weed control in the front but not in the back. When we use weed control, we have chosen a low odor version to avoid that typical stick, which some weed controls have.
Organic Based Blended Program
Our Organic Based Blended Program is for those who care about organics but still have a need to fight off pesky weeds in their yard. We use a blend of fertilizer that is at least 64% organic along with weed and crabgrass control to combat weeds while helping make your lawn healthy and beautiful!
Organic/Natural Program
Our Organic/Natural Program uses a 100% organic fertilizer to help thicken up your lawn. Some visits are granular, and some are liquid – giving your yard what it needs to grow correctly. Typically, customers who don’t have weeds on their lawn or don’t care to get rid of the weeds in their lawn request this one.
Additionally, Pure Prairie Organics offers natural control for grubs, mosquitoes, fleas, ticks, ants, and even organic options for trees and shrubs. We’ve even developed a liquid core aeration option for those who want to avoid a mess of cores covering their lawns!
Whichever program you choose, we promise that Pure Prairie Organics is the right choice for your organic and natural lawn care needs. We have taken the time to create safer and effective programs for all of our clients and their loved ones.
